1.1. basic principles of the language norm and to observe them when using a foreign language in various functional styles of oral and written speech; 1.2. key concepts of a foreign language and mastering them within the framework of official and unofficial communication; 1.3. stylistic features of writing essays, official documents (forms, questionnaires, etc.), notes with a request to provide simple information of immediate importance. 2.1. speak with some paraphrases on most topics from history; 2.2. control a wide enough lexical repertoire of functional speech, apply functional formulas in appropriate situations; 2.3. express one's own point of view, feelings, attitude, etc., as well as participate in conversations on historical topics. 3.1. during listening, understand by ear foreign language speech in its normative and dialectal versions; in a natural and accelerated pace, to perceive texts of various genres of a historical nature.

1. Know the basic tenses, grammatical constructions of a foreign language, have a sufficient vocabulary; 2. To be able to express one's thoughts during a foreign language oral/written speech.

ducational discipline "English language (general course)" for students of OS "Bachelor" of the first year of study in the field of knowledge 02 culture and art, specialty 027 Museum studies, monument studies, is taught in the I and II semesters of the I course in the amount of 240 hours. (8 ECTS credits) in particular: practical - 120 hours, independent work - 120 hours. The course includes 4 content modules and 4 modular tests. The discipline ends with a test in the first semester, and an exam in the second semester.

Planned educational events and teaching methods - lectures, seminars, essays, independent work

The semester grade is formed by the points obtained by the student in the process of learning material from all subjects of the discipline and performing independent tasks, writing two module tests, 4 essays, and preparing two presentations. The maximum number of points that can be obtained during the semester is 80. The points received by the student during the 1st semester make up 80% of the final grade in the discipline for the first semester.
