Learning outcomes
PLR 4. Understand the principles of economic science, features of economic systems.
PLR 6. Use professional arguments to convey information, ideas, problems and ways to solve them to specialists and non-specialists in the field of economic activity.
PLR 21. Be able to think abstractly, apply analysis and synthesis to identify key characteristics of economic systems at different levels, as well as the behavior of their subjects.

1. Assimilation of educational material in the basic disciplines of economic orientation.

Course content
Discipline is one of the basic economic disciplines, because it reveals modern concepts of the impact of money and credit on economic development. Every time there is an imbalance in the monetary sphere, the consequence is the unfolding of crises in the economy. Instead, stabilizing the situation in the financial intermediation system and in the financial market is the key to sustainable economic development. Understanding these processes is an extremely important component of training future economists.
This discipline highlights the essence and features of the functioning of the monetary sphere, in particular money circulation, money supply and money market, inflation and deflationary processes and more. Much attention is focused on the specifics of the credit sphere, in particular, the issues of lending in the modern economy, the role and purpose of financial intermediaries.

Assessment methods and criteria
Evaluation of the report (content, presentation, ability to present the material), evaluation of debates on the intensity and activity of students, surveys, final test.
Evaluation criteria (maximum / minimum points).
1. Oral interview, discussion – 10 points / 6 points;
2. Independent work – estimated individual task – 70 points / 42 points;
The test is in writing and is evaluated with a maximum of 20 points. The final grade for the student's discipline is based on the results of all types of work, including scores obtained for oral answers and independent work.
