Course content
The discipline "Molecular basis of enzyme action" includes the study of biochemical and molecular mechanisms of catalysis, modern theories of enzyme-substrate interaction, the relationship between the structure of active centers of enzymes and their catalytic activity, biochemical mechanisms of enzyme regulation. Peculiarities of enzymes functioning are studied, modern data on their structure are generalized, mechanisms of regulation of enzymatic activity are considered. Attention is paid to the applied aspects of the use of enzymes for the development of new drugs aimed at correcting numerous disorders of intracellular biochemical processes.
