PR03. Use theories and laws of mathematics, physics, chemistry and other sciences to solve problems of modern biology. PR04. Understand the basic terms, concepts, principles, theories and laws in the field of biological sciences and on the boundaries of subject areas. PR05. Choose methods, algorithms for planning and conducting field, laboratory, clinical and laboratory research, including mathematical methods and software for research, processing and presentation of results. PR17. Through self-study to master new knowledge and modern methods of experimental research to solve problems of biology. PR19. Solve applied problems of biology by appropriate methods.

1. Successful mastering of the courses "Molecular Biology of Viruses", "Genetics of Viruses", "Biochemistry of Viruses", "Anatomy and Physiology of Plants", "Microbiology", "Virology", "General Genetics". 2. Be able to independently apply knowledge of molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology, etc. disciplines, work with scientific and methodological literature. 3. Possess basic skills of targeted use of laboratory equipment and / or reagents.

The discipline "Laboratory Workshop on Virology" covers issues of practical skills in working with viruses of microorganisms, in particular the study of their biological properties and methods of studying the antiviral properties of substances. The discipline develops the basic skills of working with proteins and nucleic acids of viruses, is designed to master the methods of isolation and purification of viruses for molecular research and molecular methods of detection of plant viruses. The course summarizes the student's understanding of the basic methods of working with viruses, and provides students with the ability to plan and conduct experimental work using various methods and techniques to solve a specific scientific problem, statistical processing of data and interpretation of experimental results.
