Course content
The discipline is a basic discipline that covers the issues of basic approaches and methods for the identification and study of viruses of different taxonomic groups. Characterizes the functions of the main biochemical components of both complex and simple viruses. An important place is given to the peculiarities of the structure of simple and complex viruses, methods and phenomena discovered on viral proteins as models and their application in modern science. Much attention is paid to aspects of biochemical interaction of virus and cell and the role of proteins in virus penetration, regulatory and enzymatic properties of viral proteins, unique features of biochemical structure of viral nucleic acids as carriers of genetic information.
