Course content
This discipline is an elective biological discipline, the purpose of which is to form in students the theoretical basic knowledge needed to determine the complex processes of transformation and interaction between the main hydrophobic components of living things. Particular attention is paid to the unique structural and functional characteristics of lipids, which make them the main elements of all cell membranes. The discipline provides modern ideas about the molecular and biological features of lipid metabolism in normal and pathology, in particular the phenomenon of free radical transformations of their molecules, transport features and their participation in the development of various pathological conditions.
