Learning outcomes
PLO1. Associate yourself as a member of civil society, the scientific community, recognize the rule of law, in particular in professional activities, understand and be able to exercise their rights and freedoms, show respect for the rights and freedoms of others, including team members. PLO9. Understand the main features of the modern world and national economy, institutional structure, areas of social, economic and foreign economic policy of the state. PLO11. Be able to analyze the processes of state and market regulation of socio-economic and labor relations. PLO15. Demonstrate basic skills of creative and critical thinking in research and professional communication. PLO20. Master the skills of oral and written professional communication in state and foreign languages. PLO23. Show skills of independent work, demonstrate critical, creative, self-critical thinking.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Before studying this course, students must know the features of the functioning and development of modern society, politics and power, human interaction with social and political institutions, special characteristics of modern Ukrainian society. 2. Be able to collect and interpret information on political processes; apply basic terms, categories of analysis of socio-political phenomena and processes. 3. Have basic skills in research and information management; use of information sources.
Course content
The discipline acquaints students with politics as a social phenomenon, theoretical knowledge and form of activity, the evolution of political knowledge, the essence and classification of political systems. The study of the discipline analyzes power as a social phenomenon, the social rule of law and civil society, the peculiarities of the functioning of socio-political associations in the political system, trends in modern world politics.
