Prerequisites and co-requisites
Prior to taking this course, students must have successfully completed the professional disciplines in the previous courses and have knowledge of translation theory. Know the phonetic laws, commonly used and terminological vocabulary, grammatical structures and syntax rules of the Turkish language; have skills in oral and written translation, basic skills of cognitive and professional activity; culture of thought, its general laws.
Course content
The aim of the discipline is to improve theoretical knowledge and practical skills of translation, to familiarize students with the main problems of translation of legal and financial and economic texts in terms of vocabulary, grammar and style, to develop skills and abilities of written and oral translation of legal and financial and economic texts from Turkish into Ukrainian and vice versa, to train a specialist in translation of legal and financial and economic texts. The subject of study is the main types of legal, economic and commercial texts, business documents and correspondence. Particular attention is paid to lexical and semantic transformations in translation and grammatical features of these texts. Specialized terminology, legal clichés and cliches in financial, economic and legal texts are also considered.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Oral answers, additions, participation in discussions during practical classes, blitz surveys, tests, translation homework, independent work with dictionaries, text corpora, and videos from the Internet.
Assessment methods and criteria
During the semester, the assessment is carried out in accordance with the types of work and the form of control described in clause 7.1. The grade is based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester and does not include additional assessment measures. Students who score the minimum positive number of points - 60 - receive "passed". Students who do not score the minimum positive score of 60 points receive a "fail" grade. Students who have scored a total of less than 60 points during the semester must pass the test by completing the material on the topics for which they have a debt in the form of writing independent works, dictations or, if necessary, write a test.
