PR17. Apply modern learning technologies for teaching special subjects. PR20. On the basis of in-depth knowledge of natural sciences to form an idea of ​​the laws of individual and historical development of biological systems at different levels of the organization.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successfully master the courses "Botany", "Plant Physiology", "Biochemistry", "Biotechnology". 2. Be able to independently apply knowledge of plant anatomy and physiology, biochemistry, biotechnology, etc. disciplines, perform laboratory and practical work, work with scientific and methodological literature. 3. Have basic skills in working with materials and equipment used in biological and chemical laboratories.
Course content
The discipline "Secondary metabolism of plants" is a selective discipline that forms a comprehensive view of plant metabolism at the molecular, cellular, tissue levels and the level of the whole organism; composition, properties, ways of biosynthesis of biologically active substances, their physiological action and application in pharmacological, food, light industry, as well as screening of medicinal plants by their chemical composition and search for the most effective technologies for biologically active substances of plant origin.

Semester assessment: 1. Modular test 1 (from 1-4 topics): PH 1.1. - 30 points / 15 points. 2. Modular test 2 (from 5-8 topics): PH 1.1 - 30 points / 15 points. 3. Report on laboratory works on 1–8 topics: RN 2.1., 2.2., 3.1. –20 points / 10 points. 4. Scientific report with presentation: RN 3.1., 4.1 - 20 points / 10 points. Final evaluation in the form of a test.
