Learning outcomes
PLO 8. To know and understand the language system, the general properties of literature as an art of words, the history of Turkish and English languages and literatures and be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities.
PLO 13. Analyze and interpret works of Ukrainian and foreign fiction and oral folklore, determine their specificity and place in the literary process (according to the chosen specialization).
PLO 15. Carry out linguistic, literary and special philological analysis of texts of different styles and genres.
PLO 16. To know and understand the basic concepts, theories and concepts of the chosen philological specialization, to be able to apply them in the professional field.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
To acquaint students with Ashug poetry and consider its peculiarities; to teach them to analyze theoretical literature on Ashug poetry; to identify the peculiarities of Ashug poetry through their perception; to familiarize them with the conceptual foundations of Ashug art in the Turkish literary process of the 13th-16th century; to outline the influence of Tekke literature on the development of Turkish literature.
Course content
In the course of studying the Ashug Literature discipline, students get acquainted with the typology and poetics of Ashug art, the criteria of oral folk poetry, religious and mystical folk poetry, and Ashug poetry; study Ashug social environments and forms of education; analyze the emergence of Ashug schools and the practice of creating junk books; and form a worldview of the classification of Ashug by social status: rural poets, poets from the city, janissary poets, traveling poets. The purpose of the discipline is to acquaint students with Turkish Ashug art, which includes epic destans, songs that celebrate the freedom and heroism of the people; satirical and humorous songs that celebrate friendship and love, as well as to study Tekke poetry of the 13th-16th centuries.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The semester program of the discipline includes the following forms of learning: lectures, seminars, and independent work. Semester assessment of such types of work as individual speeches, additions, participation in discussions, individual tasks (fixed speeches and defense of presentations, etc.), performance of control works is carried out during seminars, which are scheduled online or offline, and module control work. It ends with a test.
Assessment methods and criteria
The control of knowledge is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge 1.1 - 1.3), which is 60% of the total grade, and the assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills 2-2.2); (communication 3); (autonomy and responsibility 4), which is 80% of the total grade.
Assessment of semester work:
1.Work in seminars: WP 1.1-1., 2-2.2, 3, 4 - 10/20 points.
2.Creative and research tasks: EL 2-2.2, 4 - 10/20 points.
