Learning outcomes
PR1. To speak the state and foreign languages ​​at a level sufficient for communication on professional issues and presentation of the results of their own research. PR5. Analyze and evaluate the impact of biology on the development of society. PR6. Analyze biological phenomena and processes at the molecular, cellular, organismal, population-species and biosphere levels in terms of basic general scientific knowledge, as well as using special modern research methods. PR 20. On the basis of in-depth knowledge of natural sciences to form an idea of ​​the laws of individual and historical development of biological systems at different levels of the organization. PR.28. Be able to form a system of analysis and interpretation of new results about plant and fungal objects, organization and functioning of the plant organism at the molecular, cellular, organismal and population levels based on in-depth knowledge of disciplines.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the basics of morphology and anatomy of higher plants, plant physiology in the normative disciplines taught in previous years of study. 2. To be able to identify botanical objects in the volume determined by normative and special disciplines taught in previous years of study. 3. Have basic skills in using keys to identify taxa of different ranks.
Course content
This discipline is a discipline of the block of free choice of students majoring in "Plant Biology". The discipline is an integrated biological discipline that allows to form an idea of the methods of paleobotanical research, forms of preservation of fossil plant material, taxonomy and taxonomy of fossil plants; to form a system of ideas about the stages of development of organic life and vegetation on Earth.
