Learning outcomes
PR03. Use theories and laws of mathematics, physics, chemistry and other sciences to solve problems of modern biology. PR04. Understand the basic terms, concepts, principles, theories and laws in the field of biological sciences and on the boundaries of subject areas. PR05. Use knowledge and demonstrate compliance with the provisions of biological ethics, biological safety and biological protection. PR07. Demonstrate knowledge of the structural organization of biological systems at the molecular level of the organization. PR15. Apply in professional activities methods for determining the structural and functional characteristics of biological systems at different levels of the organization. PR16. Choose methods, algorithms for planning and conducting field, laboratory, clinical and laboratory research, including mathematical methods and software for research, processing and presentation of results.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of scientific-theoretical and practical material of educational courses taught to students of 1-2 courses of the educational program "Biology" at the "Bachelor" level. 2. Be able to independently apply knowledge of biochemistry, cytology, molecular biology and other disciplines, work with scientific and methodological literature. 3. Have basic skills in working with materials and equipment used in the biophysical laboratory.
Course content
"Laboratory Workshop" is a discipline that aims to develop students' basic skills and abilities needed to work in a biophysical laboratory. Within the workshop students learn the basic principles of biological experimentation, application of biophysical research methods to solve specific scientific and practical problems, as well as experiments in related sciences and interdisciplinary projects that require in-depth knowledge of the discipline.
