Prerequisites and co-requisites
To successfully learn the discipline «Economic and mathematical modeling» the student's academic level must meet the following requirements: tо know: mathematical models and methods of research of operations, basic models in ecological and economic systems, bases of development of software complexes based of modern information technologies; be able to: to apply methods of research of operations, numerical methods; to possess: skills of application of software complexes on the basis of modern information technologies.
Course content
Study of modern methods of modeling economic objects on the methodological basis of systems theory, mastering the basic principles of construction and study of mathematical models of macroeconomics, markets, banking system; mastering the ability to use basic methods of modeling complex economic systems, building many classes of models of complex economic systems. The discipline belongs to the list of obligatory academic disciplines. The course is taught in 2nd semester. It includes 2 semantic parts, 2 tests and 3 laboratory works. The discipline ends with an exam.

Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment during the semester: The maximum number of available points is 60. Test no 1 and no 2– 15/9 points each. Laboratory work 1, 2, 3 and 4 – 7/4 points, 10/6 points, 6/4 points, 7/4 points each accordingly Final assessment in the exam form: The maximum number of available points is 40. Form in which exam is taking: written work. Types of tasks: 3 written tasks (2 theoretical questions with 12 points each; 1 practical task with 16 points). The tasks on the exams correspond to the topics of lectures. Tasks of tests correspond to the content of lectures.
