Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know: the basic laws, the concepts and categories of economic theory, the methods of economic analysis and their evolution, the content of basic economic disciplines, the main features of the contemporary economics. 2. Be able to: analyze economic processes and a phenomena, their reflection in economic theory; explain the relationship between economic facts, economic theory and economic policy; have the skills of systematic analytical thinking. 3. Have the skills of public speaking.
Course content
The discipline "Methodology and organization of economic research (based on intellectual property)" is mandatory and uses a set of methodologies and tools of modern economics, including neoclassical economic theory, new institutionalism, evolutionary economics, new Keynesian economics, and the systems method, the method of scientific abstraction, mathematical and statistical methods, methods of scientific prediction, modeling and forecasting, economic experimental methods for their application in practice at the microeconomic and macroeconomic levels. The structure of theoretical and empirical knowledge in combination with methods of theoretical and empirical research is considered; the methodological problems of modern economics are covered.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Information-traditional with elements of problem-oriented learning: lectures, seminars, independent work, consultations, individual project implementation, situation analysis, creative tasks, active teaching methods
Assessment methods and criteria
The results of students' learning activities are evaluated on a 100-point scale. The discipline provides for the final comprehensive test (FCT), which is performed in one of the last classes. Semester assessment: 80 points maximum / 48 points minimum. The grade for the final comprehensive test (FCT), which is performed in one of the last classes devoted to the study of the discipline (not more than 20 points) is added to the grades for the substantive parts. Students who scored less than 48 points during the semester are not allowed to take the FCT. For students who scored a total of less than 48 points, and respectively for the first or second part less than 24 points, to obtain admission to the FCT must perform additional new independent analytical work, retake the test, take tests on the subject.
