Learning outcomes
Define conceptual knowledge on the protection of labor rights in business, which is the basis for innovative business activities, to formulate their own judgments in this regard. Demonstrate a critical understanding of theories and principles of labor protection in business. Define conceptual knowledge on labor protection in business to assess the disadvantages and advantages of the arguments. Describe the solution of complex unforeseen issues related to the protection of labor rights in business based on the assessment of the disadvantages and advantages of an issue.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know the main aspects of the formation and development of protection of labor rights in business in Ukraine, features of protection of labor rights in business, their legal nature; publication sources on the issues of legal support and protection of labor rights, acts of legislation regulating the relations of the participants of the relevant relations and the practice of dispute resolution. Be able to assess and determine the role and objectives of labor rights protection in business, to distinguish between measures of protection and preventive safeguarding of labor rights, to provide a legal description of individual methods of labor rights protection. Have basic skills in preparing a draft lawsuit, an act of response to violations of labor rights, with regards to the peculiarities of the practical situation and with legal methods to resolve disputes arising from violations of labor rights.
Course content
Forms of teaching and learning methods of this discipline are aimed at conducting a legal analysis of the safeguarding and protection of labor rights used in practice and the study of theoretical and practical issues concerning the functioning of the mechanism of safeguarding and protection of labor rights. Within the framework of the discipline the general characteristics of protective labor relations, content of protective labor relations, subjects of protective labor relations, content of protective legal relations, structure of protective labor relations, forms of preventive safeguarding and protection of labor rights, methods of preventive safeguarding and protection of labor rights. The course involves in-depth study by students of current legislation of Ukraine in the field of preventive safeguarding and protection of labor rights, legal publications, basic concepts and special terminology.

Verbal: explanations, discussions, lectures, seminars; visual: illustration, demonstration, self-observation; practical: analysis of judicial practice, law-making activities
Assessment methods and criteria
The maximum final grade for this discipline can be 100 points. The student can receive a maximum of 60 points for the exam, to which are added the points obtained by the student during the seminar. To obtain an overall positive grade for the discipline, the grade for the exam can not be less than 36 points. If the student scored less than 36 points in the exam, the latter are not added to the semester grade "Exam scores" are set to "0", and only the number of scores obtained during the semester is transferred to the "score" column.
