Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know - the basics of mushroom morphology in the framework of normative, special disciplines and field practices taught in previous years of study. 2. Be able to use mycological terminology to describe and identify mycological objects to the extent determined by normative and special disciplines taught in previous years of study. 3. Have basic skills in using keys to identify taxa of different ranks, work with basic scientific equipment for laboratory and field research.
Course content
The discipline is a basic botanical discipline aimed at theoretical and practical mastery of the basics of mycology by students: students get acquainted with the diversity of true fungi (FUNGI) and fungal organisms (Chromista, Protozoa), their main features and division into certain taxonomic groups, their life cycles. and ways of destroying plants and animals, etc. It is important to form ideas about the place of fungi in the system of the organic world, their origin and phylogenetic relationships. An integral result of mastering this discipline is the ability to formulate clear, concise conclusions about the functional role of fungi in ecosystems, positive and negative aspects of their life in historical and modern context on the example of basic (model) species, modern basic scientific and applied aspects of fungal research this knowledge to solve problems in other basic and applied sciences.
