Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the courses "Botany", "Plant Physiology", "Cytology", "General Genetics", "Biochemistry", "Molecular Biology".
2. Be able to work with educational and teaching literature, have basic skills in working with professional scientific literature, including English-language publications
3. Have basic skills in working with materials and equipment used in the practice of biological research
Course content
The special course is aimed at gaining basic professional theoretical knowledge of methods used as routine in the practice of experimental research in plant biology, namely: optical and electron microscopy, culture methods, chromatography and electrophoresis, which are used in basic problems in chemosystematics and assessments of physiological reactions of plants and fungi in the conditions of quantitative experiments, karyological analysis, as well as requirements for techniques for determining and presenting quantitative indicators of experimental research results. The review of the discipline also examines some of the latest methods of experimental research, which, however, do not belong to the category of basic routine research and require access to specialized laboratories with significant funding.
