Learning outcomes
PRS 3. Know and use economic terminology, explain the basic concepts of micro- and macroeconomics.
PRS 4. Understand the principles of economic science, features of economic systems.
PRS 9. Understand the main features of the modern world and national economy, institutional structure, directions of social, economic and foreign economic policy of the state.
PRS 21. Be able to think abstractly, apply analysis and synthesis to identify key characteristics of economic systems at different levels, as well as the behavior of their subjects.

Course content
Basic knowledge of the history of the world economy and economic thought is providing.
Section 1 "History of Economics" is devoted to the study of the general methodology of historical and economic research, economic periodization of history, genesis types and forms of menage leading countries in the pre-industrial era, patterns of bases of industrial agriculture and its features in individual countries, transformation forms of menage and organization of production in the XX-XXI.
Section 2 "History of Economic Thought" is dedicated to the study and comprehension of the content, conditions and patterns of evolution of the global economic science as an integrated system of economic views and ideas.

Semester assessment 60 points maximum / 36 points minimum:
1. Participation in seminars (speeches, theoretical discussions) - Max. 10 points / Min. 6 points
2. Abstracts – Max. 50 points / Min. 30 points
Final assessment (in the form of an exam): 40 points maximum / 24 points minimum
