PR03. Plan, execute, analyze data and present the results of experimental research in the field of biology. PR05. Demonstrate skills in assessing unforeseen biological problems and making informed choices. PR07. Have the techniques of self-education and self-improvement. Know and understand the basic terms, concepts, theories and laws in the field of biological sciences and on the borders of subject areas. PR09. Adhere to the provisions of biological ethics, rules of biological safety and biological protection in the process of learning and professional activities. PR10. Know the basics of taxonomy, methods of detection and identification of non-cellular life forms, prokaryotes and eukaryotes and use them to solve specific biological problems. PR11. Understand the structural organization of biological systems at the molecular level.

1. The student must be able to independently apply knowledge of molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology, etc. disciplines, work with scientific and methodological literature. 2. Know: - Characteristics of proteins and nucleic acids; - Characteristics of different cell types (eukaryotes, prokaryotes, plants, bacteria); - Have the concept of immunity; - Principles of epidemiology; - Biochemical and biophysical research methods.

One of the important theoretical issues in the development of virology as a science is the problem of integration and differentiation. Modern virological research has a pronounced integrative nature. Therefore, the teaching of the compulsory course "Virology" is based on the interdisciplinary integration of educational programs with specializations such as biology, virology, microbiology, immunology, ecology, health care organization, infectious disease clinic, etc. They are based on complex molecular genetic, statistical, sociological studies. The course occupies a leading position in the training of biologists. Based on knowledge of biochemistry, microbiology, general and molecular genetics, molecular biology, cytology, biophysics, virology.
