Learning outcomes
PLO. 3. To know the regulatory framework for ensuring the rational use, protection, accounting and valuation of land at the national, regional, local and economic levels, procedures for state registration of land plots, other real estate and restrictions on their use; use methods of collecting information in the field of geodesy and land management, its systematization and classification in accordance with the design or production task. PLO. 4. Apply methods and technologies for the creation of state geodetic networks and special engineering geodetic networks, topographic surveys, topographic and geodetic measurements for the survey, design, construction and operation of engineering structures, public, industrial and agricultural complexes using modern ground and aerospace methods;

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of such courses as: "Higher Geodesy, Fundamentals of Land Management and Cadastre, Mathematical Processing of Geodetic Data, Remote Sensing of the Earth and Land Law. 2. To be able to work with technical documentation on land management in a legal manner 3. Possess basic skills in conducting geodetic measurements of land plots in kind and recording these measurements in an electronic register.
Course content
The course "Engineering and Legal Status in Land Management" provides students with knowledge of the objects of land legal relations, the legal regime of land as the main national wealth, legal encumbrances on the use of land ownership, the mechanism of legal guarantee of land ownership rights, and trends in the codification of land legislation in the current socio-economic environment. The author examines the issues related to legal regulation of land reform, legal forms and procedures for land privatization, acquisition of ownership of land plots, implementation of legal regimes of agricultural and non-agricultural land, and also examines proposals for improving land relations in Ukraine.

Assessment methods and criteria
Organization of assessment: all types of work, including independent work and individual assignments, are assessed during the semester. Students who score less than the critical-calculated minimum of 20 points must repeat the course to receive credit. For work submitted late, 2 points are deducted for each day of delay.
