Learning outcomes
PLR 1. To associate themselves as a member of civil society, a scientific community, to recognize the rule of law, in particular in professional activities, to understand and be able to enjoy their own rights and freedoms, to show respect for the rights and freedoms of other persons, in particular, members of the team. Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know the content of the main stages of world history and history of Ukraine, the basic principles of functioning of the education system in Ukraine. Possess the skills of analytical thinking, the ability to generalize, comparative analysis, Be able to analyze phenomena and processes, prepare presentations.
Course content
The discipline program consists of 2 modules. Module 1. "Features and competences of the business economy specialist" oriented to familiarize students with the history of the university development, the Faculty of Economics, familiarization with the educational and professional preparation program for business economics; Familiarity with the regulatory content of learning. Module 2. "History of the development of university education in Ukraine and the world" is oriented to familiarize students with the primary sources of classical education and its traditions; coverage of the features of Western European Universityes education at different stages of historical development from ancient times to modernity; Analysis of modern world trends in higher education and their extrapolation on the state of affairs at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

Assessment methods and criteria
Participation in discussion, test, presentation, preparation and protection of independent work, modular work. 1. Testing (pH 1,2) - 30 points / 18 points; 2. Independent work (pH 3.4) - 50 points / 30 points; The final control is carried out in the form of written control work, which is estimated at a maximum of 20 points and is carried out on one of the latest seminars from discipline. The final assessment from the discipline of the student is exposed on the results of work during the semester as the sum of the scores obtained during the training semester, including points received for self-work and final control work.
