            Prerequisites and co-requisites
        
        
            1).Successful mastery of the disciplines "Fundamentals of Tourism Studies", "Tourist Country Studies", "Geography of Recreation and Tourism".
2). To be able to: apply knowledge about the organization and application of modern information technologies when solving tasks in tourism activities; to navigate the creation and posting of materials on the global Internet, to use IT technologies for enterprises.
3).To have basic skills of creating tourist sites; work in reservation systems; knowledge of network software applications using WEB technologies.
        
    
            Course content
        
        
            The educational discipline is dedicated to the study of the theoretical and methodological foundations of information technologies in tourism, their essence, structure; basic concepts and strategies in managing the activities of tourist enterprises. Illuminates the issue of the current state and trends in the development of information systems; provides an idea of the main corporate information systems in the context of tourism business management, information support for management decision-making. This discipline is designed to show the objectivity and necessity of implementing tourism automation systems in Ukraine and at the international level in the conditions of globalization, under the conditions of defending national interests, taking into account the program complexes of the management of the tourism industry.

            Assessment methods and criteria
        
        
            Final control papers are conducted in the form of tests and open questions. Each of the works is evaluated at a maximum of 10 points. Вlitz surveys are conducted, which in the end form up to 5 points (the final score is the arithmetic average of all surveys, each of which is estimated at 5 points).
 Іndependent work:
- participation in discussions of current theoretical and applied problems (up to 15 points; at least 3 excellent answers per semester);
- preparation and presentation of a case study based on tasks set in advance (up to 5 points; according to the class schedule);
- submission of an essay on a given topic (up to 5 points);
- presentation of a presentation of an individual/group study. The evaluation of the presentation takes place according to the following criteria: content part and disclosure of the topic - up to 5 points; multimedia component and presentation of research results - up to 3 points; answers to questions - up to 2 points.
