1. Know the active legislation that regulates the peculiarities of social protection of certain categories of workers; development of scientific thought on the problems of legal regulation of the peculiarities of social protection of certain categories of workers; trends in reforming legislation in the field of social protection of certain categories of workers; features of legal regulation of social protection of certain categories of workers in other countries. 2. Be able to carry out the systemic and legal analysis of the norms regulating features of social protection of separate categories of workers in practical legal activity. 3. Possess the skills to form information and analytical conclusions on the peculiarities of the legal regulation of social protection of certain categories of workers.
Course content
Methods of teaching this discipline are aimed at mastering students' practical knowledge of the legal basis of social protection of employees who perform the functions and tasks of the state (civil servants, law enforcement officers, military), workers with disabilities (the elderly, people with disabilities, women, minors, HIV-infected people, people with mental health disorders); peculiarities of legal regulation of social protection of workers with conditions of increased health risk, in particular legal criteria for determining conditions of increased risk to health: harmful and difficult working conditions, special geographical and geological conditions, visual and emotional stress; social protection of certain categories of workers engaged in work with harmful and difficult working conditions (miners; workers in the metal industry (hot shops).

Assessment methods and criteria
The maximum final grade for the discipline can be 100 points. The student can receive a maximum of 60 points in the credit, to which the points obtained by the student during seminars are added. To obtain an overall positive grade in the discipline, the grade for the credit may not be less than 36 points. If the student scored less than 36 points, the latter are not added to the semester grade (regardless of the number of points obtained during the semester), the information in the column “exam scores” is “0” and only the number of points obtained during the semester is transferred to the “final grade” column.
