Learning outcomes
PTR 1. To freely communicate in Ukrainian and Russian languages in the
professional sphere with specialists and non-specialists orally and in writing, to use
those languages for effective intercultural communication organisation.
PTR 5. To collaborate with colleagues, representatives of other cultures and
religions, supporters of different political views, etc.
PTR 11. To create oral and written texts of various genres and styles in Ukrainian.
PTR 14. To use Ukrainian in verbal and written form, in different genre-style varieties and registers of communication (official, informal, neutral), to solve communicative tasks in everyday, social, educational, professional, scientific spheres of life.

Mastery of the Ukrainian language at a basic level.
Course content
The discipline is aimed at forming and developing foreign students' oral communication skills in the social, domestic and socio-cultural spheres. It covers the main conversational topics of everyday communication of a social and cultural nature: acquaintance, family, apartment, study, working day, leisure, hobbies, place of residence, transport, shop, holidays, national cuisine, etc. The discipline involves the study of thematic vocabulary, communicative formulas, samples of dialogic and monologic speech that ensure communication within certain topics.
