Learning outcomes
Know the essence of the main social and political phenomena that are the subject of sociological and political science studies.
Know the laws of social and political life, social and political relations and processes, modern models of social and political order.
Be able to analyze social and political phenomena, critically evaluate them when they are presented in the media and social networks, provide them with interpretations from the standpoint of modern sociological and political science knowledge.
Be able to analyze the processes in domestic and international socio-political life, identify and reveal the essence of current social and political problems, conflicts of modern society, their conditions and factors of origin and settlement.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before studying this course, students must: have a generalized knowledge of the processes and phenomena of social life, the philosophical, cultural, political, legal and socio-economic foundations of society; be able to collect and analyze information about events, processes and phenomena of socio-political life of society; have basic skills in using information sources; research and information management.
Course content
He discipline is aimed at revealing the features sociological and political science knowledge of society, models of social order and interactions, basic dimensions and oblems of modern society, the logic of its development, socio-cultural and political-cultural characteristics and trends of modern Ukrainian society. When studying the discipline, tention is focused on measuring values, identity, inequality, social solidarity and conflict, social relations in systems employment and politics, the history of political thought, issues of power, regimes in politics, political systems of society and the state, civil society, democracy, parties and party systems, elections, world politics.
