Learning outcomes
As a result of studying the course, students should learn the basic concepts of the course, the subject and object of the study of monuments, the basics of the theory of museum studies, the properties of museum objects, the basics of museum source studies, the composition and structure of museum funds, the main directions of scientific and fund work of museums, the essence of museum exposition , the main methods of building expositions, the methodology and main stages of creating museum expositions and exhibitions, the essence of cultural and educational activity of museums, basic forms of cultural and educational activity of museums, the basics of work on museification of monuments; to be able to navigate in specialized literature, select the most important information from information, systematize it, evaluate the type of sights, classify them, create interactive maps of sights.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know the most important facts, events and processes of the historical past of mankind, to have basic knowledge about the cultural monuments of Ukraine and the world. 2. To be able to work with historical reference books and navigate on the geographical map of Ukraine and the World; find the main historical landmarks on the map of Ukraine, and the cities or regions associated with them. 3. Possess elementary skills of searching for material using Internet resources, basic knowledge of creating presentation reports.
Course content
The content of the course is divided into 2 content modules. Each content module includes lectures, seminars, independent work of students, which are completed by rating control of the level of assimilation of knowledge of the program material of the corresponding part of the course. Content module 1 (ЗМ1) includes topics 1-14, content module 2 (ЗМ2) includes topics 15-23.

Planned educational activities and teaching methods - lectures, seminar classes, practical and independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
The control of the student's knowledge is carried out according to the modular rating system. The total number of student points is formed by the semester points received from all topics of two content modules (points received for modular control papers (in the form of tests); points received for completing individual tasks; points received for work in seminar classes, as well as points which are received for the final control work. The results of students' educational activities are evaluated on a 100-point scale. The criteria for evaluating a student's answer are: • complete disclosure of the issue • the logic of presentation • use of basic and additional literature • analytical reasoning, the ability to draw conclusions
