Learning outcomes
PLO 2. To speak the state and foreign languages confidently for written and oral communication, in particular in situations of professional and scientific communication; present research results in the state and foreign languages. PLO 6. To use knowledge on expressive, emotive, logical language means and speech techniques in order to achieve an intended pragmatic result and organize successful communication. PLO 10. To collect and systematize facts of language and literature, to interpret and translate texts of various styles and genres (depending on the chosen specialization). PLO 11. Carry out a scientific analysis of language, speech and literary material, interpret and structure it taking into account appropriate methodological principles, formulate generalizations based on independently processed data. Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful completion of the cycle of theoretical and practical disciplines of professional training for the Bachelor's degree, in particular: "Modern Ukrainian Language", "Theoretical and Practical Phonetics of the Spanish Language", "History of the Spanish Language", "Vocabulary and Lexicology of the Spanish Language", "Stylistics of the Spanish Language".
Course content
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the theoretical foundations of contrastive linguistics and to study in depth the peculiarities of the Spanish and Ukrainian languages from a comparative and translational point of view. The aim of the course is to master the theoretical foundations of contrastive linguistics and to acquire practical skills in comparing Spanish and Ukrainian. It aims to understand and analyse the universal and specific features of the linguistic phenomena of Spanish and Ukrainian at all linguistic levels for the purposes of translation.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out in accordance with the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material studied, in particular the assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge 1.1 - 1.2), which accounts for 40% of the total grade, and the assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills 2.1-2.4; (communication 3.1-3.3); (autonomy and responsibility 4.1-4.5), which accounts for 60% of the total grade. The total number of points in the discipline (maximum 100 points) is determined as the sum of the points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final assessment (exam). Thus, the final grade in the discipline (minimum 60, maximum 100 points) is the sum of the number of points for the semester work (minimum 36, maximum 60 points) and the final assessment - the exam (minimum 24, maximum 40 points).
