Learning outcomes
PL06. Apply knowledge of expressive, emotional, logical means of language and speech techniques to achieve the planned pragmatic result and organize successful communication.
PLO10. Collect and systematize linguistic, literary, folklore facts, interpret and translate texts of different styles and genres.
PLO19. Possess the necessary knowledge and skills to provide translation from Turkish into Ukrainian or English and vice versa at various stages of the judicial process, during conferences of various professional orientations and in other areas and fields of activity.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know the history of translation, its classification, basic translation strategies and the content of the main concepts in different models; be able to carry out stylistic and syntactic analysis of different types of texts, use dictionaries, electronic resources in the translation process; have the skills to combine different translation strategies; be able to prepare texts of different styles for translation, including making appropriate analysis at the morphological, lexical, syntactic level; search for appropriate lexical and stylistic material required.
Course content
"Interpretation and Translation of Turkish" is included in the list of compulsory disciplines and is taught in the first and second semesters of the master's program in accordance with the curriculum of the educational and scientific program "Oriental Philology, Western European Language and Translation: Turkish Language and Literature". The discipline is an integral part of the formation of the professional competence of future translators and specialists in the field of Turkish philology and translation, aimed at in-depth study of practical methodology, directions, and methods of practical activity in the field of translation, and the formation of professional competence of future translators. The course covers a range of methods that a future specialist translator will use in consecutive interpreting, various aspects of translation, and modern methods of translation based on texts of the modern Turkish language in various genres.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course is an integral part of the formation of professional competence of future translators and specialists in the field of Turkish philology and translation, aimed at in-depth study of practical methodology, directions and methods of practical activity in the field of translation, formation of professional competence of future translators. The course focuses on a set of approaches that a future specialist translator will use in consecutive interpreting, examines various aspects of translation, and studies modern methods of translation based on texts of the modern Turkish language in various genres. The course is taught in the form of practical classes in Ukrainian and Turkish. The course is taught in the first and second semesters of the first year of the master's program and ends with an exam at the end of the course.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge), which accounts for 40% of the total grade, and the assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills), which accounts for 60% of the total grade.
1. Interpretation, written translation using dictionaries, Internet resources, independent work on adaptation and editing of the translated text: RN 1.1, RN 1.2, RN 1.3, RN 2.1, RN 2.2, RN 3.1, RN 3.2, RN 4.1, RN 3.2, RN 4.2.
