Learning outcomes
PLO 1. Communicate freely on professional issues with experts and non- experts in Ukrainian and a foreign language, in oral and in written form, use these languages to organize effective cross-cultural communication. PLO 2. Process information effectively: collect relevant information from a variety of sources, including professional literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it. PLO 6. Use information and communication technologies to solve complex specialized tasks and issues of professional activity. PLO 18. Have the skills to manage complex activities or projects in solving complicated problems in professional activity in the framework of the selected philological specialization and be responsible for making decisions under unpredictable conditions.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before starting the study of this discipline, students must successfully master the grammar and syntax of the Ancient Greek and Latin languages, be able to work with educational and scientific information in the field of Classical Philology, process it, make generalizations and conclusions, and have basic research skills.
Course content
Purpose of the practice: to gain knowledge of the types of information resources; knowledge and skills of processing information through production, conducting bibliographic searches, familiarization with the methodology of bibliographic research, inventorying primary sources, conducting paleographic, historical and philological analysis. The practice is designed to reveal the level of assimilation by students of modern methods of processing and publishing historical documents and sources, checking source information when building the factual foundation of scientific research, the intensity of studying documentary materials and the effectiveness of all stages of scientific work from choosing a topic, selecting linguistic material, finding the necessary information, and analyzing it, processing, systematization, generalization before publication of an independent scientific research. The internship helps to form the ability to acquire new knowledge independently and the willingness to apply it for solving problems in the professional activity.

Assessment methods and criteria
After completion, the following documents are submitted to the manager: - a list of processed sources on the issues of the bachelor thesis; - individual bibliography depending on the chosen topic; - abstract of scientific research; - corpus of language units of Ancient Greek, Latin and Western European language being studied, on the topic chosen by the student; - an essay on the topic "Classical philology at the Institute of Philology and/or in Ukraine: problems and prospects for development" in the amount of 0.15-0.25 print. sheet, designed in accordance with technical and content requirements; - the final report on the completion of practice production. A detailed description of the forms, criteria and organization of assessment is given in the working course program, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
