Mastering the knowledge of the theoretical foundations of correct formulation and solution of inverse problems of geophysics, effective mathematical modeling of geophysical processes through the study of mathematical research methods for solving inverse problems of geophysics and the use of mathematical models in geophysical exploration and global geophysical research.

Full-time form

The program focuses on the main analytical models of geophysical fields and geological environment. theoretical bases of processing of materials of geophysical researches with use of the mathematical device. The student learns to regularize the obtained algorithms, introduce a priori constraints and choose the optimal numerical methods for obtaining iterative solutions of formulated geophysical problems, apply the acquired knowledge of the basics of higher mathematics and the theory of inverse problems. to the processing of geophysical information.

Lectures, practical classes and independent work of students

The control is carried out according to the modular rating system and includes: practical work (where students must demonstrate the quality of acquired knowledge and solve problems using the methods and tools outlined by the teacher), abstract work (where students must demonstrate the quality of acquired knowledge and solve tasks without limiting tools and problem-solving techniques). The final assessment is conducted in the form of a written exam.
