Achievement of such competencies, skills and abilities as the ability to give a legal description of specific practical situations arising in the field of stock exchange relations, skills for working with legislative acts that make up the system of stock exchange law, and applying them, which includes the creation of organized market (commodity and stock exchanges) operators, concluding certain types of exchange agreements.

Know legal acts governing the legal status of business entities of various organizational and legal forms, determine the legal status of their property, the system of bodies resolving economic disputes; be able to consolidate and deepen the knowledge gained in lectures, by independent study of legislation and sources of special literature, as well as additional literature on relevant topics of the course; use information and analytical resources of the Internet; perform self-study tasks.

The discipline deals with the subject and system of stock exchange law, basic exchange terms (clearing, netting, outsourcing, etc.), regulation and management of trade organization (products, financial instruments, currency values), features of commodity, agricultural, currency, cryptocurrency exchanges, it analyses national and foreign experience of legal regulation of the Forex market, brokerage activities on stock exchanges as brokers, dealers or stock speculators (jobbers and traders), specific features of concluding, amending, terminating and enforcing exchange agreements and derivative contracts.

Seminars are conducted in the form of a conversation with the elements of questioning. The methodological peculiarity of conducting seminars in such a way is the division of the topic for discussion into small logically related issues, the solution of which contributes to mastering lecture material and understanding of its practical value. If desired, the student is given the opportunity to briefly (up to 5 minutes) speak on the given question (oral answer) or in the form of a report or presentation. After the answer, students can supplement it with certain clarifications, additional information. The teacher can ask questions to test the student's knowledge, deepen the study of the topic of the discussion, focusing the group on certain problematic aspects. To test knowledge, tests, individual written assignments and drafting of exchange agreements are assigned.

Types of formative assessment are chosen by the teacher who conducts practical lessons in compliance with the course syllabus. The teacher who conducts seminars processes students’ points scored during coursework and enters them in the student performance evaluation documents. If a student is absent from a seminar for a good reason, he / she may complete the missed lesson in extracurricular time within 14 days after this lesson was missed, during the teacher's consultation. The procedure is carried out by means of oral examination or another type of task set by the teacher. Points are not awarded for missed classes. At the end of the semester, missed classes are not completed.
