Р01. Knowledge to understand key chemical concepts, essential facts, concepts, principles, and theories relating to natural sciences, life and earth sciences, as well as chemical technologies at a level sufficient for professional application and to enable further deep understanding of specialized fields of chemistry. Р04. Knowledge to understand basic patterns and types of chemical reactions as well as their characteristics. Р09. Skill to plan and perform a chemical experiment, to apply suitable methods and techniques for preparation of solutions and reagents. Р19. Skill to use your knowledge, understanding, competencies, and basic engineering skills to solve practical tasks and problems of nature. Р24. Ability to use modern information and communication technologies for contact and collection, analysis, processing, interpretation of data. Р25. Ability to evaluate and minimize environmental risks in carrying out professional activities.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Кnowledge acquired at school in such subjects as "Fundamentals of life safety", "Chemistry", "Physics", "Fundamentals of law", "Fundamentals of ecology" and initial knowledge of first aid.
Course content
Fundamentals of labor protection in chemistry" is a system of legal, socio-economic, organizational-technical, sanitary-hygienic and medical-prophylactic measures and means aimed at preserving the health and working capacity of a person in the process of work in the chemical industry.

Assessment methods and criteria
Semester control includes activity during practical classes; activity during theoretical class; performing independent homework; writing a modular test. The evaluation is based on a 100-point system. The maximum / minimum number of points that can be obtained by a student during the semester assessment is 60 points / 36 points. The final assessment is conducted in the form of an test. The maximum / minimum number of points that can be obtained by a student on the test is 40 points / 24 points.
