PLO-01. Freely present and discuss with specialists and non-specialists the results of research, scientific and applied problems of physics and astronomy in state and foreign languages, qualified to reflect the results of research in scientific publications in leading international scientific journals.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The graduate student must know: English at a level not lower than B2; basic methods of search and analysis of scientific information; basics of discourse and text theory; structural-compositional, linguistic, communicative and rhetorical features of various genre texts of Ukrainian scientific discourse.
Course content
The discipline "English academic writing" belongs to the list of compulsory disciplines at the educational and scientific level of "Doctor of Philosophy". It provides the formation of postgraduate research professional-oriented competence and provides for the mastery of the culture of academic writing in English, taking into account the canons of modern English-language scientific discourse.
