- Oil and gas regions of Ukraine and other areas of practice - New technical means and technologies of prospecting, exploration and production of oil and gas - Domestic and international legislative documents in the oil and gas industry - Contents of geological and geophysical information package on oil and gas potential of areas - Methods of oil and gas prospecting and exploration and their planning - Maintenance of geological documentation during oil and gas prospecting, exploration and production - Sampling and laboratory studies of core and fluids - Collection and analysis of geological and geophysical materials for further research

Knowledge of the disciplines of the general geological cycle, petroleum geology, methods of prospecting and exploration of oil and gas fields, basics of economic geology

The content of the master's pre-graduate practice is considered. It includes choice of practice base (countries, company, institution, organization), preparatory period, practical training at a company (scientific institution or organization), collection of geological and geophysical materials, preparation of a report on practice, evaluation of practice results and collected geological and geophysical materials. Approaches to the introduction to the company (scientific institution, organization) and its technical equipment, areas of production and activity in the oil and gas industry are included in the consideration. The most topical problems of oil and gas geology of Ukraine and other countries are determined that can be selected for the next in-depth research, preparation of scientific publications and master's thesis.

Independent work of students, practical training on company (organizations, institutions), schedule tasks, teacher consultations, written report

The control is carried out according to the rating system and includes: a written report on practice (where students must demonstrate the quality of acquired knowledge and the ability to solve problems by methods and tools provided by the tasks for practice), an oral presentation and answers to questions. The final assessment is conducted in the form a differentiated test by the teacher’s commission
