            Learning outcomes
        
        
            1. Know the theoretical and methodological foundations of regional development, directions, principles and problems of regional policy formation in Ukraine. To understand the role of local self-government in the management system of regional development in general and tourism in particular. 2. Know the place of tourism in the structure of the national economy of Ukraine. 3. To understand the mechanism of management of the field of tourist services at the national, regional and local levels. To analyze the international experience of managing the regional development of the tourism industry in the countries of the world. 4. To analyze the current state of regional problems in Ukraine, to assess the tourism potential of regions, to form a statistical research base and to carry out its comprehensive analysis, to develop regional programs for the development of sustainable tourism.

            Prerequisites and co-requisites
        
        
            1. Before starting this course, students must successfully master courses taught at the bachelor's level: "Geography of Recreation and Tourism", "Basics of Tourism Studies", "International Organizations in Tourism". educational professionally-oriented practices;
2. Know the theoretical foundations of recreational geography, location of production, population, natural resource potential.
3. Possess elementary skills of scientific research and information management; to know modern quantitative and qualitative methods of geographical research, to be able to apply them in production and research activities, to have skills in working with cartographic sources, computer programs Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
        
    
            Course content
        
        
            Part of the course 1. "Theoretical and methodological foundations of regional development." The problem of assessing modern regional policy in Ukraine. The problem of functional integrity of the regional development process. Concept of strategic planning of sustainable regional development. The place of tourism in the structure of the national economy. Part of the course 2. "Scientific foundations, resource provision and management tools of regional tourism development." Scientific bases of state regulation of the tourism sphere. Organizational mechanisms of regulation of the sphere of tourism of Ukraine in the context of international experience. Tourist potential of the regions. Management of tourism development in the regional region. Tourist clusters as an innovative direction of tourist business regulation. Regional marketing as a management tool for regional tourism development. A programmatic approach to the development of tourism.

2. Performance of practical work (presentation) 2: 2.5 — max. 10 points / min. 6 points.
3. Implementation and defense of practical works, participation in discussions 3: 2.1-4.2 — max. 25 points / min.15 points
4. Execution of the case task: 4: 2.6 — max. 10 points / min. 5 points.
The maximum number of points that can be received for work during the semester is 60 points.
The final evaluation in the form of an exam is conducted in a written format. The maximum number of points that can be obtained on the exam is 40 points.
