Learning outcomes
- Be able to find reasonable solutions for structural, functional and schematic diagrams of information and measuring equipment - Be able to explain and describe the principles of computing subsystems and modules used in solving measurement problems - Have the skills to work with modern computing equipment programs and program at a level sufficient for the implementation of numerical methods for solving physical problems, computer modeling of phenomena and processes in optics and laser physics, to conduct computational experiments.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know - the rules of technical drawings, the basics of error theory, basic issues of higher mathematics, the basics of mechanics, electricity and optics. Be able to - make sketches of parts and simple components, calculate random and systematic errors. Have the skills of technical sketching of parts and simple components.
Course content
Discipline "Computer technology for the design of optical devices" - one of the fundamental and general technical disciplines underlying engineering education, which aims to provide students with knowledge and skills of basics of design, basics of general technical literacy, methods and techniques of implementing technical ideas, use of modern computer programs, as well as understanding the principles of construction of technical objects, in particular, optical devices.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Teaching methods: lectures, laboratory work, consultations, independent creative tasks. Assessment methods: assessment of homework, assessment for the protection of laboratory work, control of knowledge through the current express survey, assessment for creative tasks. The final grade is set on the basis of intermediate grades (60%) and credit (40%).

According to the results of control of homework and test work 1 cycle (18-30), 2. According to the results of the defense of laboratory work and creative task 2 cycle (18-30), final assessment (24-40).
