Select and use appropriate methods of processing and analysis of physical research data and assess their reliability. Choose effective mathematical methods and information technologies and apply them to research and innovation in physics. Develop and apply efficient algorithms and specialized software to study models of physical objects and processes, process the results of experiments and observations. Ability to search for information and data needed to solve complex problems of physics, using various sources, including scientific publications, scientific databases, etc., to evaluate and to critically analyze the information and data.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
The knowledge about mathematical analysis, basics of radio electronics, general physics. Be able to apply previous knowledge from the course of mathematical analysis to the analysis of the time-dependent signal, the calculation of the checksum. Have the skills to decompose the Fourier series function, calculate the attenuation factor of the signal, and find information on the Internet.
Course content
The course "Modern computer technologies in the physics of nanosystems" discusses general methods of network organization, data transmission methods, the most common LAN technologies and features of the implementation of protocols of the transport subsystem stack TCP / IP. The purpose of the discipline is to acquaint students with the methods used in creating computer networks. The educational task of the course is to master the methods of coding and data compression, the main characteristics of the most common technologies of local area networks, the criteria for choosing the route of packet delivery. Practical classes are devoted to modeling physical processes in the software package COMSOL Multiphysics.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures - 30 hours, practical training – 30 hours, self-study - 120 hours, consultations.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment: interviews during the lecture (up to 5 points during each of the two content modules); two modular tests in the form of a colloquium (up to 15 points each), performance of practical tasks (up to 20 points during each of the two content modules). Final evaluation in the form of a test, maximum score of 20 points. A student is not admitted to the test if he / she scored less than 48 points during the semester. The credit score may not be less than 12 points to obtain an overall positive score for the course.
