Learning outcomes
1.1 Know the basic methods and approximations for describing fission. Know the basic properties and characteristics of fission of nuclei and fission fragments.
2.1 Be able to evaluate and understand fission reactions and properties of fission fragments for the implementation of applied problems.

1. Successful mastering of basic physics courses: "Quantum Mechanics", "Nuclear Physics".
2. Be able to solve problems in basic physics courses.
3. Have basic computer skills to search for information on the Internet.
Course content
The course " Fission of heavy nuclei and fusion of light nuclei" will allow students to understand modern areas widely used in nuclear physics to describe nuclear fission, the basic properties of nuclear fission and fission fragments, as well as fusion of nuclei and various phenomena associated with decay nuclei and collective processes in nuclei and nuclear reactions.
