Course content
Physics is a science that studies the most general patterns of natural phenomena, the properties and structure of matter, the laws of its motion. Concepts of physics and its laws are the basis of all natural sciences. Physics belongs to the exact sciences and studies the quantitative regularities of phenomena. Physics is a science that plays a decisive role in shaping the general outlook of a modern educated person. This is what the program of the general physics course taught at the physics faculty takes into account. The following sections are integral components of the content of general physics: mechanics, molecular physics and thermodynamics, electricity and magnetism, optics, quantum, atomic and nuclear physics. As part of the "Preparation for DEC" seminars, questions presented on the State Physics Exam are considered.
