Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of basic physics courses ("Physics of the atomic nucleus and elementary particles").
2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of the course ("Physics of the atomic nucleus and elementary particles"
Course content
Beams of charged particles produced by accelerators are widely used in modern science and technology. First of all, it is the physics of the atomic nucleus and elementary particles, plasma physics, the problem of controlled thermonuclear fusion, solid state physics, ultrahigh frequency generation, laser pumping, as well as practical application in medicine, radioactive waste management, material processing, defectoscopy, including and equipment components of nuclear power plants, food industry, electronic devices, etc.The discipline "Accelerators of charged particles" is the basis for learning fundamental knowledge of the physics of accelerators, mastering the basic concepts, principles and approaches to understanding the physical foundations of the operation of accelerators and the ability to use beams of accelerated particles in scientific research and applied fields.
