Learning outcomes
Understanding the importance of using computerization of experiments to increase the reliability of measurement results. Understand computerization as a joint application of analog-to-digital conversion, storage of information in the form of digital arrays, processing of digital arrays for computer modeling, and control devices after digital-to-analog conversion. Have basic skills of self-study: be able to find the necessary information in printed and electronic sources.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
The student must know: How to solve typical problems in the field of electricity. Apply knowledge of electronics. Evaluate the accuracy of the results and find sources of probable errors. The student must be able to: Present research results in the form of reports. Carry out the written description of the experimental research. Evaluate the orders of magnitude of the studied, their accuracy and degree of reliability, calculate measurement errors and formulate conclusions. Independently work with educational, teaching, and reference literature on electronics
Course content
General problems of automation of measurements Positioners and control of the position of objects. Analog elements in digital electronics. Basic elements of digital electronics. The circuitry of digital generators, pulse shapers. Triggers. Registers. Counters. Automation of mechanical components of measuring devices. The principle of operation of digital-to-analog converters. Digital control of analog electronics. The principle of operation of analog-to-digital converters. The principle of operation of the sigma-delta ADC Interface schematics and their connection to computer ports. Algorithms of control systems for measuring systems.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, laboratory work
Assessment methods and criteria
Evaluation is carried out according to the modular rating system. It consists of 2 modules. Forms of student assessment: - semester assessment: 1. Modular test work, writing tests - 40 points. 2. Performance of laboratory works and defense of reports on laboratory works - 40 points. The student is not admitted to the test if during the semester he/ she did not complete laboratory work in full and scored less than 48 points in two modules. - final evaluation: in the form of a differentiated test, the maximum number of points is 20.
