Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The Direct Method -the teaching is done entirely in the target language. The learner is not allowed to use his or her mother tongue. Grammar rules are avoided and there is emphasis on good pronunciation. Audio-lingual - the theory behind this method is that learning a language means acquiring habits. New language is first heard and extensively drilled before being seen in its written form. Suggestopedia - the theory underlying this method is that a language can be acquired only when the learner is receptive and has no mental blocks. Communicative language teaching (CLT) - The focus of this method is to enable the learner to communicate effectively and appropriately in the various situations they would be likely to find herself in. The content of CLT courses are functions such as inviting, suggesting, complaining or notions such as the expression of time, quantity, location.
Assessment methods and criteria

The selection of the types of a mid-term assessment is to the discretion of the teacher who is conducting practical classes; they enclose: an individual task report, a written task, a presentation or an individual project, a mid-term test, a final test. The teacher gives a certain amount of points earned through mid-term assessment, which gets fixed in the register of an academic progress. If students miss the class for valid reason, they can made it up in free from classes time (during teacher’s scheduled consultation hours) by participation in a discussion, performance of a writing task or by other forms of assessment. It is not allowed to make up the missed classes starting from 5 days prior examination period.
