Full-time form

1. To know the main theories and research approaches in human geography. 2. To be able to review special literature, to use research methods of urban and regional studies. 3. Proficiency in English at a level no lower than B2.

Discipline provides in-depth study of the key concepts in human geography, as well as the topics of contemporary debates and the latest publications on urban and regional studies. The discipline meaningfully consists of 2 parts: Part 1. Key Texts in Human Geography Part 2. Discourse in Urban and Regional Studies

Lectures, seminars and independent studies

The course consists of two thematic parts. The classes include lectures and seminars. During the semester there are quizzes after each topic and tests after thematic parts. Final assessment is in the form of examination. The maximum number of points on the exam – 40, the minimum number of points that are added to the semester score – 24 points (60% of the maximum number of points allocated for the exam).
