PR05. Demonstrate skills in assessing unforeseen biological problems and thoughtfully choosing ways to solve them PR09. Adhere to the provisions of biological ethics, rules of biological safety and biological protection in the process of learning and professional activity. PR10. Know the basics of systematics, methods of detecting and identifying non-cellular life forms, prokaryotes and eukaryotes and apply them to solve specific biological tasks. PR14. Analyze the interactions of living organisms of different levels of phylogenetic kinship with each other, the peculiarities of the influence of various factors on living organisms and evaluate their role in biospheric processes of transformation of substances and energy. PR27.4. Apply basic knowledge, skills and abilities to detect and identify pathogens of viral diseases.

External form

• Successful mastery of scientific, theoretical and practical material of academic disciplines taught to students of 1-3 years of the Bachelor's degree. • Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of virology, biochemistry, microbiology, genetics, cytology and histology, physiology, zoology, biophysics, etc.

The academic discipline "Emergent Viral Infections" is a component of the educational program for professional training of specialists with the educational degree "Bachelor". The discipline is a basic discipline that covers information about the latest and re-discovered previously defeated viral infections that pose a global threat to public health. The course covers the etiology, epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical picture, diagnostics and prevention of viral infections. During the study of the discipline, the classification of emergent viruses is given, the interaction of viruses with the immune system and the mechanisms of evasion of viruses from immune surveillance are considered. . Special attention is paid to prevention and control, including vaccination and immunoprophylaxis, as well as epidemic control strategies.
