Course content
The academic discipline "Structural foundations of the functioning of proteins and peptides" includes the study of the features of the structure and functions of amino acids, peptides and proteins. Considerable attention is paid to the consideration of the primary, secondary, tertiary and quaternary structure of polypeptide molecules. The discipline covers the study of the features of the functioning of proteins, in particular, includes a discussion of the molecular mechanisms of catalysis of reactions by enzymes and the regulation of their activity. Common methods of modifying the polypeptide chain are studied, and the influence of these modifications on the features of the functioning of proteins.
