PR10. Know the basics of systematics, methods for detecting and identifying non-cellular life forms, prokaryotes and eukaryotes, and apply them to solve specific biological problems. PR21. Analyze information about the diversity of living organisms. PR29.6. Conduct a systematic analysis of the diversity of the animal world based on understanding the mechanisms of adaptations of different animal species to their habitat, as well as interactions with other organisms.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the characteristic morpho-biological and ecological features of the main types of invertebrates and chordates. 2. Be able to identify the main groups (types, classes) of animals by diagnostic features. 3. Have basic skills in using specialized computer programs for presenting data in text format, searching and analyzing information in specialized professional journals and the Internet.
Course content
The academic discipline "Laboratory Practicum in Zoology (Part 2)" is an elective academic discipline that is part of the professional training program for specialists with the educational degree "Bachelor" in the educational program "Biology". In classes on the laboratory practicum in zoology, students have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the methods of collecting, temporarily maintaining in culture, preserving and studying certain types of invertebrates, as well as acquire the skills of planning, conducting and analytically evaluating the results of scientific research in the field of zoology and ecology.
