Course content
The educational discipline "Laboratory Practicum in Microbiology" is a component of the educational program for professional training of specialists with the educational degree "Bachelor". The discipline is a basic discipline that highlights the methods of detecting, isolating, identifying, storing and cultivating soil, industrially important, sanitary-indicative microorganisms. Methods and methodological techniques for selecting the optimal cultivation medium and determining kinetic growth parameters are considered. Considerable attention is paid to identifying the main structural elements of pro- and eukaryotic cells. The discipline is designed to generalize the student's understanding of the main methods of working with biological objects of different levels of organization (from whole organisms to their populations), as well as to provide the student with the opportunity to master the skills of planning and conducting experimental work using various methods and methodological techniques to solve a specific scientific and practical problem.
