Course content
The discipline "Neurobiology of Learning" integrates knowledge from cognitive neuroscience, educational psychology, pedagogy, and educational technologies in order to study the neurophysiological mechanisms underlying cognitive processes that ensure effective learning. The course examines the brain mechanisms of attention, memory, speech, reading, mathematical thinking, as well as the features of encoding and structuring information. Significant attention is paid to the neurobiological aspects of cognitive difficulties, in particular dyslexia, dyscalculia, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Particular attention is paid to individual differences in learning, taking into account their neurobiological, genetic, and environmental factors. A separate section is devoted to the analysis of modern research in the field of improving cognitive functions and using the results of neuroscience to optimize educational practice. The discussion aspects of the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies into education and their impact on cognitive processes are also considered. Mastering the course will allow students to better understand the neurophysiological foundations of learning, critically evaluate the latest educational approaches, and more effectively organize their own educational process based on evidence-based neuropedagogy.
