Learning outcomes
PR07. Have the skills to work independently and as a leader, to get results in a limited time with an emphasis on professional integrity when growing ornamental plants in open and closed soil, designing, creating and operating horticultural facilities.
PR08. Be able to competently apply technologies for growing planting material of ornamental plants in open and closed soil.
PR09. Design and organize activities for growing planting material of ornamental woody plants in open and closed soil and form horticultural facilities in accordance with modern scientific methods and customer requirements.
PR10. Design and organize activities for growing planting material of ornamental herbaceous and flower plants in open and closed soil and form horticultural facilities in accordance with modern scientific methods and customer requirements.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastery of the academic disciplines "Entomology", "Dendrology", "Soil science and soil microbiology", "Plant biochemistry", "Plant biology", "Breeding of ornamental plants with the basics of genetics".
2. Ability to perform calculations using the given formulas and work with card files.
3. Possess basic skills in working in open and closed soil conditions.
Course content
The academic discipline "Seed Production" is a discipline of free choice of the student, which forms a comprehensive understanding of seeds, formation, maturation, storage of seeds, chemical composition and value, seed dormancy and factors of dormancy disturbance, measures for preparing for sowing; varietal qualities of seeds and yield properties, the organization of varietal and seed control; the features of using seeds as planting material at green construction sites.
