Learning outcomes
PLO3. Identify, formulate, and solve tasks in the field of social work, integrating theoretical knowledge and practical experience. PLO6. Successful completion of the course “General Psychology,” which provides basic knowledge about the laws of mental functioning, mental processes, states, and personality traits
Course content
The purpose of the course is to provide students with systematic knowledge about the patterns of human mental development at different age stages, the psychological characteristics of learning, education, and socialization of the individual, as well as to develop the ability to analyze age-related and individual psychological characteristics of a person in professional practice. The course covers theoretical and practical aspects of developmental and educational psychology, including: patterns of personality mental development; psychological characteristics of the main stages of human development; mechanisms of socialization and personality formation; psychological foundations of teaching and education; age-related and individual characteristics of the psyche; psychological factors of effective pedagogical interaction. Special attention is paid to the formation of a humanistic worldview, understanding the uniqueness of each individual, developing professional communication skills, tolerance, and respect for people.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, seminar, analysis of primary sources, presentation, demonstration of skills, test assignments, case method.
Assessment methods and criteria
Oral responses (seminar presentations, participation in discussions and debates, additional comments): 10 max / 4 min points; Practical assignments (case solving, demonstration of practical skills, educational tests): 20 max / 12 min points; Module tests (MT1, MT2, MT3): 30 max / 20 min points. Final assessment: examination. Conditions for admission to the examination. Completion of practical assignments, oral responses, and three module assessment tests is mandatory for admission to the examination. Students who score less than the minimum required threshold of 36 points in total during the semester are not admitted to the examination. The examination is conducted in written form. The maximum number of points for the examination is 40. The maximum number of points that may be earned during the semester is 60, while the minimum number required is 36.
